VOLUNTEER WORK |
We have been involved in a number of volunteer projects over the last few years. | ||
Kevin is the vice-chairperson of the Allira House Women's Refuge and acts as a chaplain for staff at the Cessnock Furniture Op Shop. The funds raised help to fund Allira House operations. |
Toronto SDA Church takes part each year in October in the CityServe initiatives in the Newcastle region. We have been glad to assist when we have been able to. |
Glenda enjoys fellowshipping with the Toronto Church Care Group on Wednesday mornings as they make quilts or care bags for people who are facing a difficult time or celebrating a special event. Kevin enjoys gardening in the church community garden with the men while the ladies make quilts. |
Glenda is involved with the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and is the Treasurer for WCTU Australia. She is also responsible for updating the World WCTU Website. Check out the WCTU Australia Website |
Glenda works one day a week in the office of The Incredible Journey TV program by Gary Kent. She helps in processing the free booklet requests from viewers each week. She also marks the online Bible Study lessons and answers questions. Kevin runs Zoom Bible seminars and studies for the Incredible Journey viewers on behalf of Gary Kent The Incredible Journey Media Evangelism Ministry broadcasts on free-to-air TV across Australian cities and regional towns on Channel 9GEM on Sundays at 8:30 am.
